4. The first baby born at St. Thomas Elgin General hospital in 2025 arrived at 12:40 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Theodore Ivan Young weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces, much to the delight of parents Hillary and Curtis Young of St. Thomas.
