In a report to city council for Monday’s (Jan. 27) meeting, the winning bid will be announced for construction of the new animal shelter.
Tonda Construction Limited of London submitted the lowest bid at just over $4 million.
That’s a million dollars more than the initial bid of $3 million in 2023.
That tender was cancelled as it was well above the budget limit of $1.9 million.
No indication of the construction timeline for the facility, to be located off Fairview Avenue, adjacent to the Douglas J. Tarry Sports Complex.
