A traffic stop Sunday afternoon in the city has resulted in a St. Thomas teen dealing with a variety of traffic charges.
Just before 2 p.m., the 16-year-old driver was stopped by St. Thomas Police. It was determined the licence plates had been stolen and didn’t match the vehicle.
Also the teen was unlicenced and uninsured and the vehicle had been reported stolen in Aylmer earlier that day.
As a result, the individual was charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Two counts of Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Drive motor vehicle no license
- Fail to have insurance card
- Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
The 16 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
