Southwestern Public Health over the weekend reported two more measles exposures in St. Thomas health care settings.
Both occurred last week in the Emergency Department at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
Specifically on Feb. 17 between 9:20 p.m. and 11:47 p.m. and on Feb. 19 from 12:55 to 3:25 p.m.
If you were present at the Emergency Department during these timeframes, were born in 1970 or later, and are not up-to-date with your vaccinations, you are urged call the health unit at 1-800-922-0096 ext. 1232.
This includes those who were only present briefly as measles is highly contagious and can linger in the air for up to 2 hours.
