Here’s what’s going on in St. Thomas and Elgin County over the next 48 hours.
Today: Art for Animals, a fundraiser in support of a new City of St. Thomas Animal Shelter, runs the entire month of February at 3 local venues. The St. Thomas Public Library, Caps Off Brewing, and Railway City Tourism will be exhibiting available art by local artists in support of the construction of the new Animal Shelter. Today: Global Flavours returns to St. Thomas-Elgin throughout the month of February! Visit participating cultural restaurants and be eligible for a prize draw at the end of the month. More details here.
Today: A Learn to Grow Lavender talk hosted by the St. Thomas Horticultural Society, is taking place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the CASO Station. Karen Parr, co-owner of Sparta Lavender Farm and Garden, will talk about growing lavender and her hand-made products. Admission is free. There will be refreshments, door prizes, and mini-flower show.
Today: The Elgin Historical Society will shine a spotlight on the rich history of Alma College at a special talk coming up Wednesday, February 26th. The free event, open to the public, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Elgin County Museum, 460 Sunset Drive.
Today: Trivia takes place every Wednesday night at Railway City Brewing from 7 to 9! Stop in for an evening of good food and fun with no need to preregister.
Tomorrow: It’s Election day in the province, giving you the chance to cast your vote for Elgin-Middlesex-London’s next MPP, as well as Ontario’s Premier. Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and you can find all the details on local candidates, voting information and more- here.
Tomorrow: Tech Talk returns to the St. Thomas Public Library and is offered every Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Join the library team in the Board Room where you can get your questions answered and learn something new. All levels of tech experience welcome!

GOJHL: The St. Thomas Stars return to action tonight when they host the KW Siskins at the Joe. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m. myFM will be broadcasting.
PJHL Playoffs: The Aylmer Spitfires host game 4 of their playoff series against the Exeter Hawks on Wednesday, February 26th. Puck drop is 8:15 p.m.
PJHL Playoffs: The Port Stanley Sailors play game 4 of their playoff series against the Trojans in Thamesford on Friday, February 28th. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.
