The combination of spring-like temperatures and a mixed-bag of precipitation possible this week has prompted the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority to issue a Watershed Condition Statement.
The precipitation along with snow melt likely will lead to increased creek and tributary levels across the watershed.
The authority is advising the public to use extreme caution near all bodies of water and keep children and pets away from waterways.
Landowners are advised to check dams, culverts, and catch basins and make sure they are free from debris and functioning as intended during high water circumstances.
The statement will remain in effect until upgraded or cancelled.
