Elgin OPP are investigating a carjacking in the eastbound lanes of the 401 in Dutton-Dunwich.
Early Friday morning, two passenger vehicles collided near Coyne Road. While both drivers pulled over, a passenger jumped into the victim’s car and drove away.
The stolen vehicle is described as a black 2011 BMW, with the Ontario licence plate number DEBM535.
Police are seeking three male suspects:
Driver: white, approximately 6 ft. tall, between 20 and 30 years of age, with a medium build, black or brown short hair, green checkered shirt and a large black coat with a black hood.
Passenger 1: Approximately 6 ft. tall, between 20 and 30 years of age with a muscular build, short brown hair and a large black coat.
Passenger 2: Between 5 ft-5’6″ tall, between 20 and 30 years of age, medium length brown hair, and a large black coat.
The suspect vehicle is described as an older black Chrysler 200 (possibly 2008-2012 model). The vehicle had a white CN Tower sticker on the rear windshield and a white licence plate with blue writing with the first two letters “AX”.
