The St. Thomas Fire Department is brining back its popular Hot Summer Nights events- and it couldn’t have come at a better time!
The first splash of the season kicks off Monday night at Kin Park (29 Confederation Drive), where families are encouraged to gather by 6:30 p.m.
Here’s Chief Fire Prevention Officer Kim Destun who explains further.
This will continue throughout the summer as fire crews randomly select a park or parkette somewhere in St. Thomas to visit.
The events are not pre-scheduled due to the unpredictable nature of emergency calls — but Destun encourages families to follow the St. Thomas Fire Department on social media, where locations and times will be announced the day of.
The events are completely free and open to all ages, so whether you’re a kid, parent, or just young at heart — bring your towel and keep your eyes on social media for the next Hot Summer Night!
