The St. Thomas Kinsmen Club is lighting up Canada Day with their annual fireworks fundraiser—now underway at the Geerlinks Home Hardware parking lot.
Shop in person or online, with every purchase supporting local causes through the Kinsmen’s mission to “Serve the Community’s Greatest Need.”
Funds also help support annual events, such as the Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt at Pinafore Park and the Canada Day fireworks display in St. Thomas.
Residents who do purchase fireworks are reminded to follow all by-law rules and guidelines outlined and enforced by the St. Thomas Fire Department and the City of St. Thomas, which states fireworks can only be set off 2 days before and after both Victoria Day and Canada Day.
The St. Thomas Kinsmen Fireworks trailer, located in the Geerlinks Home Hardware parking lot, 295 Wellington St., will be open on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to dusk, Thursday/Friday 2 p.m. to dusk., Saturday/Sunday 9 a.m. to dusk and Monday 3 p.m. to dusk and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Canada Day.
