A First Time Rider event taking place in August looks to teach new school bus riders and their families how to safely do so, before the school year starts.
This free program being offered by Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services is open to all first time bus riders across the Thames Valley and London District Catholic School Boards.
Parents are asked to preregister for the Thursday, August 14th event online and choose from the four different sessions running between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School.
The 30-minute sessions will include a bus safety presentation followed by a short ride.
That’s where parents and children can experience how to board, ride and get off the bus safely.
