A 26-year-old St. Thomas resident is facing impaired driving charges following a two-vehicle collision late Thursday night.
St. Thomas Police were called to the scene just before 10:15 p.m., after a driver reported their vehicle had been struck while travelling through a roundabout on the south side of the city.
Upon arrival, officers located both vehicles and determined that one of the drivers appeared to be impaired.
A roadside screening device was administered, resulting in a fail.
The suspect was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where breath tests revealed blood alcohol concentrations of 130mg/100ml and 120mg/100ml. The driver has been charged with Operation While Impaired.
Their license was suspended, and their vehicle was towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
