The YWCA St. Thomas-Elgin is inviting newcomer youth and their families to enjoy a free afternoon of swimming and outdoor fun at the “Splash & Play – Newcomer Family Event” happening Friday, August 15 in Aylmer.
Hosted by the YWCA’s Newcomer Youth Club, the event will run from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Aylmer Outdoor Pool (17 Myrtle Street). Alongside pool time, families can enjoy the on-site park and splash pad- more options for those who don’t plan to swim.
A water safety orientation will be provided before swimming, and light refreshments will be available.
Participants are encouraged to bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a change of clothes, and a water bottle. Change rooms will be open.
Admission is free, but registration is required. Children 12 and under must also be supervised in the water by someone 13 or older.
