Canada Post and the union representing postal workers returned to the bargaining table Wednesday along with federal mediators.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers presented their response to the final offer tabled by Canada Post on May 28.
The company is currently reviewing the union’s response.
Further meetings are scheduled for Friday and Monday.
The unionized postal workers rejected the Crown corporation’s latest offer, which would have included wage hikes of around 13 per cent over four years and added part-timers to the workforce.
In the meantime, there is a ban on overtime work.
The negotiations have been ongoing for over a year and a half.
