An Aylmer traffic stop has led to multiple charges against a St. Thomas man.
Police say around 2:40 p.m. on August 30, an officer stopped a vehicle on Talbot Street West for an insecure load. The driver was found to be on probation, prohibiting him from operating a motor vehicle.
Police also detected alcohol on his breath, and a roadside test resulted in a “warn.”
The 44-year-old driver was arrested and charged with two counts of driving while under suspension, having open alcohol, breach of probation, and insecure load.
He was released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
