The annual Junior Jumbo Mud Challenge, scheduled for September 13 in St. Thomas, has unfortunately been cancelled for 2025.
Organizers say unforeseen venue insurance issues forced the cancellation, but the event’s mission to support the community continues.
All sponsorships and remaining proceeds will be donated to local poverty initiatives, something the JJMC has proudly done since its start in 2017.
The Junior Jumbo Mud Challenge is known for giving kids ages 4 to 14 the chance to tackle a 1.5-kilometre mud-filled obstacle course with over 15 challenges to climb, jump, and crawl through.
Since its inception, the event has raised more than $90,000 for organizations including the St. Thomas Food Bank, Aylmer Food Bank, Inn Out of the Cold, the YWCA’s Youth Roof Over Their Head Project, and Youth Unlimited’s Youth Shelter.
Organizers thank the community for their ongoing support and say they remain committed to continuing their work.
Those in need of a refund are asked to email info.jjmc@gmail.com
