Today: “goldfish” takes the stage at Port Stanley Festival Theatre August 27th- September 13th! This WORLD PREMIERE is a moving tale of two lonely people who didn’t know how much they needed each other. Until they did. Walter, a retiree, lives a quiet life. He sits on his porch and watches the world go by day after day until Shannon, a busy mom of two moves in across the street and opens a daycare. More details here!
Today: Tuesday Tales is taking place at the St. Thomas Public Library from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Join the library team for a terrific time of telling tales! And yes–there will be singing too!
Today: The STPL Book Club is back on Tuesday! Join the monthly book club from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Carnegie Room (Lower Level) to discuss unique books with others. In September, they’re reading “Death of the Author” by Nnedi Okorafor.
Tomorrow: The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is returning to St. Thomas on Wednesday, September 10th, with local police inviting the community to come out and cheer on our athletes. The run will begin at the west end of the city around 10:30 a.m., where officers and personnel from St. Thomas, Aylmer, and Elgin OPP will join Special Olympics athletes for the journey downtown to City Hall. Tomorrow: The Teen Advisory Board at the St. Thomas Public Library is a group of teens in grades 9 – 12 who meet once a month from 4 to 5 p.m. to plan and promote exciting programs, talk about ways to make the library a more inclusive space for all teens. Join them on Wednesday!
Tomorrow: Trivia takes place every Wednesday night at Railway City Brewing from 7 to 9! Stop in for an evening of good food and fun with no need to preregister.
