Aylmer Police are investigating a home invasion that took place on the north side of town on the evening of September 16th.
Police say three male suspects forced their way into a residence around 6 p.m., assaulting the homeowner before fleeing the scene.
One suspect from St. Thomas has been taken into custody and is facing a charge of robbery. He is scheduled to appear in Elgin County Court today (Sept 17).
Police say the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. It is believed the suspect and the victim know each other, and the event was not random.
