With the Thanksgiving weekend upon us, here’s what’s open and closed in St. Thomas and Elgin County.
All municipal buildings, offices, as well as banks in both St. Thomas and Elgin County will be closed on Monday.
The Elgin Centre will be closed as well, but Galaxy Cinemas inside the mall will be open.
Most restaurants across the city and county will be open but it’s best to call ahead to double-check!
Those needing any last-minute items on Monday can stop by…
- Briwood Farm Market from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Shoppers Drug Mart at 410 Talbot Street from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Shoppers Drug Mart at 204 First Ave from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Foodland Port Stanley from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Howe’s Farm Market & Bakery from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Cobs Bread from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Lynhurst Esso and Variety from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (No empties on Monday)
Both the LCBO and Beer Store will be closed Monday, however, a number of convenience stores now supply alcohol.
Please note that our News Department is off on Monday, October 13th. Coverage will however be provided in the event of breaking news that impacts the community. 94.1 myFM will be returning to regular coverage and programming on Tuesday, October 14th.
