While thousands of Blue Jays’ fans were shut out when it came to snapping up tickets for the first two games of the World Series, Kennedy Freeman in the 94.1 myFM newsroom had the magic touch and wiggled her way into the queue.
Not only did she get tickets, she snagged them before the price skyrocketed.
While the price wasn’t exactly bargain basement, she had no qualms about digging deep to cheer on her Jays.
After all, just ask Maple Leafs’ fans how that wait for a Stanley Cup final is going.
She’s a life-long Jays fan and has stoked the excitement level in the newsroom and so we asked her how she will be feeling come the first pitch tomorrow night.
Now we didn’t want to dampen her enthusiasm, but we had to remind her that her beloved Jays lost the first two home games against the Mariners and does that worry her?
Kennedy has been keeping a close eye on the pitching rotation and predicted Trey Yesavage would get the call Saturday. Well, he’s opening the series for Toronto so who would she like to watch pitch from her perch in the 500 section?
Now she has been partial to Davis Schneider since she met him last year in St. Thomas, so inserting him into the lineup for Game 2 would be bonus. And we couldn’t let Kennedy leave without hearing a cheer from her.
Go Jays Go!
