A 47-year-old Wardsville woman is facing a long list of charges after Aylmer Police were called to investigate a suspected impaired driver last week.
Around 6:10 p.m. on November 5, officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver at a gas station on John Street North. Police located the vehicle and determined the driver was already under several court-ordered conditions and suspended from driving.
After a Drug Recognition Expert’s evaluation, police say the driver refused to cooperate.
A search of the vehicle then turned up suspected cocaine and cannabis.
The woman is now charged with:
• Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
• Three counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order
• Failure to Comply with Undertaking
• Drive While Under Suspension
• Class G1 License Holder – Unaccompanied by Qualified Driver
• Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
She was held for a bail hearing.
