Port Stanley is getting into the holiday spirit as the village launches Harbour Holly Days, the newly rebranded version of the long-running Dickens’ Days Weekend.
While the name has changed, the tradition of festive charm, community spirit, and family-friendly fun remains very much the same.
The celebrations begin Friday, November 28, with the Lighting of the Lights at the Visitors’ Centre at 5 p.m., followed by the beloved Dickens’ Night Parade at 7, which continues as a marquee tradition under the refreshed event banner.
Throughout the weekend, the village will come alive with activities for all ages.
Families can enjoy a petting zoo, horse and carriage rides through the heart of Port Stanley, and cozy warming stations scattered across the community. Santa’s Village at the Visitors’ Centre will offer a festive stop for photos and visits with big man himself.
Animal lovers can join the crowd for Sunday’s Paw Parade, while music and entertainment fill Snowflake Square in Glover Park, featuring performances from local musicians all weekend long.
Organizers say the refreshed Harbour Holly Days name better reflects the community’s identity as a lakeside destination while honouring the traditions Port Stanley residents have cherished for decades.
