Aylmer police have laid multiple charges and are now seeking a suspect after an investigation into an incident of intimate partner violence last week.
Officers were called to a residence on November 26 for a report of a break and enter. Police say the investigation determined that the victim’s former partner had forced their way into the home and stolen several items.
According to police, further information revealed ongoing harassment and physical violence directed at the victim prior to the incident.
The suspect is now facing charges of assault, break and enter, and criminal harassment.
A warrant is being sought for their arrest as the investigation continues.
