A new report that has been released on Ontario’s Worst Cities for Driving, places St. Thomas in the top 10. The report by InsuranceHotline.com has taken data based on drivers who have tickets, collisions, or a combination of the two on their driving records. Each city in Ontario was giving a “grade” based on the combination of all 3 scenarios, with St. Thomas receiving a “C” grade. The grade places St. Thomas at number 8 on the Ontario’s Worst Cities for Driving with Orangeville, Bradford, and Woodstock taking the top 3 spots.
On average, 6.9%of drivers in the province admit to having at least one ticket on their driving record, however drivers in some cities and towns exceed this average considerably with St. Thomas’s average being 11.2% of drivers with a ticket but no collision on their record. Approximately 3.5% of Ontario drivers admit to having both a ticket and collision on their record, with St. Thomas drivers exceeding the limit once again at 5.9%.
Surprisingly cities like Toronto, Mississauga, and Oakville didn’t make the worst cities list, as all 3 came out with grade “A’s”, landing them a spot on the top 10 Best Cities in Ontario for Driving.
