St. Thomas police are searching for a 36-year-old city man following an intimate partner violence investigation that began with a 911 call Tuesday morning.
Officers attended a north-end address around 7:30 a.m. for a reported assault. Police say the victim was assaulted by their partner, and during the altercation, a teenager was also assaulted, sustaining minor injuries.
Before officers arrived, the accused allegedly fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
As a result, police have charged the man with two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited device, and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
A warrant has been requested for his arrest.
