One person had died and four others were injured following a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning on Hwy. 401 in Dutton-Dunwich.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at Iona Road around 2:30 a.m.
A 64-year-old female was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead.
Four others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Eastbound lanes were closed throughout the morning from Currie Road to Union Road.
Elgin County OPP with the assistance West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are investigating.
