A pair of local charities were the big winners at Jackpot Time on Friday, thanks to a donation from the St. Thomas Gaming Association.
Christmas Care St. Thomas and The Christmas Shoppe will share $47,050, a record-breaking total for this annual donation.
As Sean Ross, Charity Coordinator with the St. Thomas Gaming Association explains, this is all thanks to a year-long team effort.
And while each of the members of the St. Thomas Gaming Association has their own needs and projects to fund, Ross says they always find a little extra to give at this time of year.
Although the St.Thomas Charitable Gaming Association won’t have an exact total until next month on the money raised this year, Ross shares that it will once again be over $3 million.
