The Aylmer Police Service has wrapped up its annual Festive RIDE campaign, with 30 RIDE programs conducted across the community since November 20th.
During those checks, officers stopped approximately 1,500 drivers and administered 100 roadside screening tests.
As a result of the enforcement efforts, five impaired driving charges were laid, along with four charges under the Liquor Control Act.
Police also issued multiple warnings for Highway Traffic Act offences.
The Aylmer Police Service thanked residents for their cooperation during the campaign, noting that both enforcement and education efforts will continue year-round to promote safe driving in the community.
