While it looked like New Year’s Day may slip by without a birth at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, a baby boy arrived with three minutes to spare.
Parents Isla and Tanner Loucks of London welcomed the birth of their son Lincoln Thomas at 11:57 p.m. Thursday.
Lincoln weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 oz. and all three spent Friday soaking up those first special moments together.
The couple had just arrived at the hospital around 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Dad Tanner told myFM that Isla really had her heart set on a New Year’s Day baby.
Little Lincoln joins his brother Theo, born about 15 months ago.
It’s going to be a busy few months for the family as they prepare for a move to a new home in St. Thomas in the spring.
Thus the reason for choosing St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, explains Tanner.
It was also touch and go on New Year’s Day three years ago when Margaretha and Enrique Sawatsky welcomed a son just 90 minutes prior to midnight.
