The GOHL in back in action after the holiday break and the St. Thomas Stars are set to play their second game of the new year tonight.
The Stars played their first game of the year last Friday against the Waterloo Siskin, which ended in a 4-3 loss for the Stars, extending their losing streak to seven games.
Their record is now 15-13-2-1, however, they still remain 7th in the Western Conference.
Tonight, the Stars take on the LaSalle Vipers, who just came out of a win against the Waterloo Siskins. The Vipers are ranked just below the Stars, at 8th place in the Western Conference, with a record of 15-16-3-0.
Some players to watch for:
The Stars:
– Myles Dunn (#23), Still leads the team in total points and goals, with 35 points, 15 of which are goals.
– Wyatt Cameron (#91), Tied for the second most total points, and has the second most goals, 33 points, 13 goals.
– Eloan De Gallic (#10), Has the most assists on the team, and tied for the second most total points, 33 points in total, including 8 goals.
The Vipers:
– Carter Chartrand (#17), Top point-getter and most assists on the team, 31 total points, 12 goals.
– Adriano Tonin (#19), Second in total points, most goals on the team, 27 points, 15 goals.
– Julian Gignac (#43), Third top point getter, 24 points, including 7 goals.
Puck drop is 7:30 tonight at the Joe Thornton Community Centre.
