A 28-year-old St. Thomas man is facing multiple charges following an alleged intimate partner violence incident on Inkerman Street.
St. Thomas Police say officers were called to a residence just before noon Tuesday after a 911 call reported an assault.
Following an investigation, officers learned the accused had gained access to the residence through a window. Once inside, an argument between the two escalated, resulting in the accused physically assaulting the victim and causing damage to the interior of the address.
The suspect left the area before police arrived, but turned himself in at police headquarters on Wednesday.
He has been charged with unlawfully in a dwelling, assault, and mischief.
