A major Hollywood milestone is now just days away for St. Thomas native Rachel McAdams.
The acclaimed actress, who was named to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026, will officially be honoured with her star on Tuesday, January 20th, during a ceremony beginning at 2:30 p.m. EST.
McAdams will receive the 2,833rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Motion Pictures category, joining fellow 2026 honourees including Emily Blunt, Molly Ringwald, Rami Malek, Timothée Chalamet, and Stanley Tucci.
A graduate of Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, McAdams rose to international fame with standout performances in Mean Girls, The Notebook, and Spotlight, the latter earning her an Academy Award nomination. Her ability to move seamlessly between drama and comedy has made her one of Canada’s most recognizable and celebrated actors.
Other members of the Walk of Fame Class of 2026 include Miley Cyrus, Josh Groban, Air Supply, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Shaquille O’Neal, Chef Gordon Ramsay, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
