The St Thomas Stars ended their losing streak last Friday with a 5-2 win against the LaSalle Vipers, however, the excitement was short lived when the London Nationals tripped up the Stars 5-3 the following night.
Tonight (Friday), the two teams face each other again at the Joe Thornton Community Centre in a 7:30 p.m. start.
The Stars have dropped down to eighth place in the Western Conference, with a record 16-14-2-1, while the Nationals now rank fourth, at 24-10-1-0.
Players to keep an eye out for include:
St. Thomas:
– Myles Dunn (#23), The Stars top point-getter, with 38 points, including 17 goals.
– Wyatt Cameron (#91), Second most goals scored, and second in points with 36, 14 being goals.
– Eloan De Gallic (#10), Has the most assists on the team with 27 and 35 points in total.
Nationals:
– Austin Pomerleau (#91), Top point-getter on the nationals with 53, including 21 goals.
– Cruz Ferguson (#11), With 38 points, 17 of which are goals.
– Ryan Nichols (#12), Has 35 points, including 17 goals.
The next Stars broadcast will take place Sunday, when St. Thomas takes on the Chatham Maroons, with Chris Soares and the pregame show starting at 6:50 p.m.
