A long-awaited update for residents and drivers in St. Thomas, as the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Talbot Street is now open to traffic.
The City of St. Thomas confirmed the reopening in a social media update Thursday, saying construction work at the intersection has been completed following bridge removal and rehabilitation efforts.
Earlier this week, city officials noted the Fairview Avenue project was in its final stages after minor delays had been caused by the late delivery of traffic signal and streetlight poles.
The city thanks residents, local businesses, and motorists for their patience and cooperation throughout the construction period.
