A 44-year-old Aylmer woman is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop in town back on January 27th.
Aylmer Police say officers were conducting general patrol around 10:53 p.m., when they observed a white Dodge Ram travelling at an unusually slow speed.
Police followed the vehicle into a parking lot on Talbot Street West, where officers detected a strong odour of alcohol.
The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Aylmer Police station for breath testing. Police say the results showed readings of 170 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
The woman has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
