A 28-year-old St. Thomas woman faces charges following an incident in the city late Monday night.
Just before 10:30 p.m., police were called by a concerned citizen who reported an individual appearing injured and at risk due to the late hour and cold temperatures.
Officers located the person, who was showing signs of a physical assault. Investigation revealed the victim had been assaulted by their spouse and had left the home wearing only shorts and a t-shirt.
The accused has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of failure to comply with probation.
Police have requested a warrant for her arrest.
