Residents in St. Thomas and Elgin County will have plenty of opportunities to cheer on Team Canada during the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina.
Elgin County Library branches are partnering with CBC to stream coverage of the Games at all 10 county branches, allowing residents to watch events together in their local communities.
Special watch parties are planned at the West Lorne Library on Friday, February 6 at 1:30 p.m. for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, the Dutton Library on Monday, February 9 at 3 p.m. for women’s hockey, and the Rodney Library on Thursday, February 12 at 1 p.m. for the women’s gold medal game.
The St. Thomas Public Library is also getting in on the excitement, streaming CBC/Radio-Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic coverage throughout the Games. A special watch party for the Opening Ceremonies will take place on Friday, February 6 on the library’s Main Level.
Library hours and locations are available through the Elgin County and St. Thomas Public Library websites.
