A London man escaped serious injuries after striking a light standard on Talbot Street in St. Thomas.
Emergency crews were called out to the area just west of St. George Street on Sunday evening where the car had flipped onto its roof.
The motorist was taken to hospital as a precaution and it was later determined through breath samples that he was more than double the legal limit.
He was charged with impaired operation and over 80 mgs and released with a future court date.
