A 47-year-old St. Thomas man is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop Tuesday night in the city.
Police determined that the individual was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle under both the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act.
As a result he was arrested and charged with:
- Two counts of operation while prohibited
- Fail to surrender licence
- Drive while under suspension
- Fail to have insurance
- Fail to stop at a red light
The vehicle was impounded for 90 days.
The accused was released on a summons and appearance notice and is scheduled to attend court at a later date.
