A 49-year-old St. Thomas woman has been arrested and charged after another female was reported in medical distress Sunday morning.
St. Thomas Police were called to a downtown address where a woman was suffering the effects of a suspected drug overdose.
She was take to hospital for treatment.
Investigation revealed the female had obtained and consumed suspected Carfentanil prior to collapsing.
The accused was charged with trafficking and the overdose victim remains in stable condition.
