A St. Thomas Police officer was assaulted Friday evening while dealing with an aggressive female.
Officers responded to a banking vestibule where a 28-year-old woman refused to leave.
She was charged under the Trespass to Property Act, at which time she spit on one of the officers.
She was then arrested for assaulting a peace office and held for weekend video court.
The accused was charged with failing to comply with probation, assaulting a peace officer and failing to leave premises when directed.
