With no regularly scheduled city council meeting again until April 6, a special meeting has been called for this afternoon (Thursday).
The key item up for discussion is the design and construction of a 49-space child care centre at the corner of Avon Road and McGregor Court.
The project budget is $3.3 million, with a funding shortfall of $550,000.
Council will look at two options to cover that gap.
The public portion of the meeting gets underway at 3 p.m. in the council chamber at city hall.
