Just as we sit down for dinner tonight (Wednesday), four astronauts, including one from our area, may be getting launched deeper into space than any human has ever been.
NASA’s Artemiss II mission hopes to start its 10-day trip around the moon, as long as weather holds out.
Technology Analyst, Journalist and self-described space nerd Carmi Levy says Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen is one of four who’ll on board the rocket.
The astronauts will be testing equipment, conducting experiments, and gathering information.
Levy says Hansen and the others are laying some very important groundwork.
They won’t be landing on the moon this time, but will be testing equipment, conducting experiments, and gathering information that will help figure out what will be needed for the dozens of lunar missions planned for the next decade.
