With the Easter long weekend approaching, here’s what’s open and what’s closed in St. Thomas and Elgin County.
All municipal buildings and offices in both St. Thomas and Elgin County are closed for the long weekend but will reopen beginning Tuesday (April 7th).
Canada Post, banks, and federal services like Service Canada will be closed on Good Friday, Sunday, and Easter Monday.
Grocery stores will all be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but will be open on Saturday and Easter Monday.
Shoppers Drug Mart at 204 First Ave will remain open on Good Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. to midnight on Sunday.
Briwood Farm Market will also remain open on Friday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Monday.
You are also reminded of some Easter-themed events taking place this weekend, including the Annual St. Thomas Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt, the Downtown St. Thomas Easter Shop Hop, and the Easter Egg Hunt in Union.
