Mutiple charges have been laid in Aylmer following an investigation into intimate partner violence incidents earlier this month.
According to the Aylmer Police Service, officers responded to a disturbance at a business on John Street North around 7:15 p.m. on April 8.
Police say the accused, who was bound by court-ordered conditions not to contact or be near the victim, attended the location and confronted the individual inside the store. During the incident, the victim was allegedly assaulted.
Investigators also uncovered a previous, unreported incident on April 5, where the same individual is alleged to have been involved in another physical altercation that resulted in minor injuries.
As a result, the accused has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with a release order and two counts of spousal assault.
The individual was taken into custody and remains held following a bail hearing.
