The Town of Aylmer is putting out a call to artists and creatives to help bring new life to a prominent public space.
The municipality is seeking Expressions of Interest for a mural project to be located at the west-facing abutment of the John Street North Bridge in Balmoral Park.
Home to the town’s splash pad, outdoor pool, healing garden, and a playground near the downtown core, Balmoral Park is considered the flagship of Aylmer’s park system. Officials say the mural project is designed to enhance the space visually while adding to the overall experience for residents and visitors.
Artists are being encouraged to submit concepts that reflect the town’s motto, “Proud Heritage, Bright Future,” while also capturing the energy of the park and incorporating elements of the surrounding natural environment.
Full details on submission requirements can be found on the town’s website, with proposals due by noon on May 26.
