A 38-year-old from northern Ontario is facing charges after an incident at an east-end retail complex in St. Thomas.
According to St. Thomas Police Service, officers were called to the area after reports of a suspicious person acting erratically in a parking lot. Police say the individual was seen pacing around vehicles barefoot and behaving bizarrely.
When officers arrived, the individual was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to hospital for assessment.
Police say the 38-year-old resident of Hanmer, Ontario, was also issued a provincial offence notice for having open liquor and will face charges of obstructing and resisting a peace officer upon release.
