A longtime St. Thomas tradition is set to return this week as the St. Anne’s Community Festival brings “4 Days of Family Fun” to the city.
Running from June 3 to 6 at St. Anne’s Centre, located at 20 Morrison Drive, the festival continues a community tradition that dates back to 1972.
Organizers promise something for all ages, including midway rides, games and activities for children, the Padre’s Patio, live entertainment, and opportunities to support local community initiatives.
One of the festival’s highlights will be the annual Live and Silent Auction. The Silent Auction opens at 5 p.m., with the Live Auction beginning at 7:30 p.m. Festival organizers say a variety of donated items will be up for bid, including sports tickets, weekend getaways, and home improvement packages.
New this year is a Friday night concert at St. Anne’s Centre. Local favourite Hogwild will take the stage on June 5 from 8 to 11 p.m. Admission to the concert is free.
Festival admission is by free-will donation, with attendees encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or make a cash donation of $3 to $5 per family at the gate.
The St. Anne’s Community Festival runs Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday from 4 to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
