Summerfest returns to St. Thomas this weekend, bringing two days of food, music, and community spirit in support of the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank.
Hosted by the Columbus Club of St. Thomas, Summerfest Under the Canvas takes place Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, at the club’s Wellington Street location.
The event will be held under a large tent beside the Joe Thornton Community Centre, creating an outdoor festival atmosphere, rain or shine.
Friday’s festivities begin with a Lake Erie perch fish fry from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by live entertainment from Tony Morgan and Point Taken from 6 to 8 p.m. Fish fry tickets are $25.
The celebration continues Saturday with performances by local favourite Randy Dawdy and Wrif Wraf from 5 to 7 p.m. before Sir Elton’s Greatest Tribute takes the stage from 8:30 to 11 p.m.
Admission for Saturday night’s concert is $35 in advance and $40 at the gate.
For advance tickets, call the Columbus Club at 519-631-2166 or stop by Scotts Printing or Elford Automotive.
