Belmont is gearing up to celebrate Canada’s 159th birthday with a full day of family fun on July 1st.
Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. with an Auxiliary OPP Bicycle Safety & Obstacle Course in the Belmont LCBO parking lot.
The always-popular Decorated Bicycle Parade will follow at 11:30 a.m., making its way from the LCBO to the Belmont Community Centre, led by the Belmont Firefighters Association.
After the parade, head to the Don Yeck Park Pavilion for a BBQ hot dog lunch—just $3 per person, including a hot dog, chips, and a drink.
From 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., enjoy free Canada Day cake, face painting, and balloon artists at the pavilion.
The celebration wraps up with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk in Don Yeck Park. If it rains, fireworks will be rescheduled to Thursday, July 2nd.
