St. Thomas is ready to paint the town red and white as the annual Canada Day celebration returns to 1Password Park on Wednesday, July 1st.
Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with activities scattered throughout the park. Local service groups like the St. Thomas Kinsmen and the Optimist Club will be on-site with barbecue fare, while the splash pad and playground remain open for families to enjoy.
Live music from local performer John Milles starts at 5, followed by opening remarks and speeches at 6 p.m.—along with free ice cream cake served up by The Ice Box.
The Petting Zoo and Pony Rides will be open by then, before the K9 Police Dog demonstration takes place between 6:30 and 7 p.m.
Throughout the evening, families can also explore the vendor alley filled with local artisans and crafters, offering everything from baked goods and home decor to crochet items, 3D printing, and more.
The grand finale is the highly anticipated fireworks show at dusk. All activities are free to attend, with food and other items for purchase. Parking is also available on-site.
